I’ve been a patient of Max, the psychiatrist and author of the book Self-Awareness. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in my 20s and self-aware for most of my life. I have always had a pretty healthy relationship with my illness and I am now more aware the rest of my life and have taken steps to better manage my mental health and self-awareness.

I’ve always thought of the word “self-awareness” as being a bit of a misnomer. The word seems too self-involved and “self” and “awareness” don’t really go hand-in-hand. The term comes from the mental health field, where the term “self-awareness” was used by people who were trying to describe what they felt about their mental health problems.

In my case, I would argue that self-awareness is the beginning of self-sufficiency and self-reliance. In a nutshell, self-awareness is the ability to distinguish between what is real and what is not. Self-aware people are aware of their own minds, bodies, feelings, and emotions and make an effort to understand and control their own actions.

The other day, I read an article on Self-Awareness. In it, it was said that by the end of the day, the more self-aware you are, the less control you will have over what you do and when. I think this is a great point because if you don’t know who you are, you don’t have any control over what you do.

Self-aware people, to me, are also extremely aware of the fact that they’re not self-aware. They have to be to understand their own actions and make efforts to control them. Like you, I’m not a self-aware person, so I don’t have self-awareness. I try to control my thoughts and emotions, but my thoughts and emotions are not entirely under my control. If I don’t control them, they will control me.

These are all ways of getting on in life. You can learn a lot from your own life, especially your own life.
