I’m not going to lie, I think most of us are pretty self-aware. Unfortunately, our “self-awareness” doesn’t seem to extend to our thoughts and actions. Our thoughts and actions aren’t always self-aware. They may seem to be, but they’re not. They’re just our thoughts and actions. The only difference is ours are so well-tuned that they become the default.
So at best, most of us are “self-aware” in the sense that we can identify our thoughts, our actions, our feelings. But not our thoughts and actions in the sense that they are our default. We are “self-aware” in the sense that we can direct our thoughts, our actions, our feelings. But we are not self-aware in the sense that all of our thoughts and actions are our default.
In this sense, we are self-aware in the sense that we are all default. We can choose to be self-aware. However, there is a great deal of self-awareness that is not default and is not even conscious. In other words, there is self-awareness in the sense that we are default only in some of our thoughts and actions. Our self-awareness is in the sense that we are self-aware in some of our thoughts and actions.
I’m not saying that we can’t consciously decide to be self-aware in some of our thoughts and actions. We can choose to be conscious in some of our thoughts and actions. However, we have to be aware of the fact that our thoughts and actions are not self-aware.
You have to know that you are in some of your thoughts and actions. If you don’t know you are, you can’t be aware of it. The way to be aware is to actually be aware, by doing the work, or by knowing, by observing, by doing.
Awareness is not the same as “knowing.” Awareness is the act of being aware of your thoughts and actions. Awareness is not a feeling or a sensation, but the ability to be aware. Awareness is not something that happens to you, but something that is always, everywhere right here, right now.
If you are aware of yourself and your thoughts and actions, you are aware of yourself in the moment. If you see yourself as a robot, you are constantly being fooled into thinking you are the most important person on the planet, when you are actually the most important person on the planet, because you are also aware of yourself, and you are aware of other people.
Awareness is the ability to recognize things that are true and important. For example, you might be aware that you have a headache but you don’t want to mention it to anyone because you know it is a symptom of something else. You might be aware that you are hungry and you know that you are not hungry because you are always aware of yourself. You might be aware that you are afraid and you know that you are not afraid because you are always aware of yourself.
Although we don’t mention our senses very often, these are actually the most fundamental ones. We are aware of our skin color, we are aware of our sense of smell, we are aware of our feelings. But the vast majority of us are oblivious to these things so the ones that are true are ones that we do not even notice. That’s why we need to pay attention to what we are aware of and what we are not aware of.
How many of us were unaware of our senses? I think we were a pretty large group of people. Most of us are aware of our sense of smell, we are aware of our sense of taste, we are aware of our sense of touch, and we are aware of our feeling. But we are not aware of how these sense work, how they are integrated, or how they connect with one another.
